Inspire Me! Thursday

Today's inspiration is alphabets! They are so versatile, but I think we all have sheets of them that only have a handful of letters left. Today's challenge is to use those letters! You can spell shorter words like I did in my JOY card seen here in the Shaker Gallery.

I am not done designing my Christmas cards and I can't think of scrapbooking until that's out of the way! Even though I am doing them digitally, I want to do a few different cards. I do have a draft of one, but really need to get cranking on the others! I think I captured another picture to use today!

Wow, hard to believe only 4 days until December! Where has this year gone, just seems to go faster each year!

Happy Thanksgiving! Get Inspired!

Happy Turkey Day to all!! This year I am thankful to have American friends here in England so that I can celebrate Thanksgiving with them! And, of course, I am thankful for my family and friends!

This week my inspiration came from the cover of a catalogue! I thought it was an absolutely delicious way of presenting a Christmas tree! I've seen this color combination alot this year also. Lots of pinks and blues and bright green!


Here is my example I didn't do the same colors, or individual pieces. I used polka-dot paper (another hot item in the scrapbooking world!).

So, I hope this inspires you to create! It would be great on a layout also! Be sure to link you creation back to the gallery! There are lots of other beautiful cards and layouts to inspire you there!

Show us what you are thankful for!

Well, it's Wednesday again so it's time for the weekly Do-it Digi Challenge. I know it's not very original, but since we are celebrating Thanksgiving this week in the US, do a layout that shows what you are thankful for. Friday Stash Challenge

This Friday's Stash Challenge invovles foam stamps. When these first came out I had to have them in my stash, I just thought they were cool. Lately I have let them sit on the shelf just collecting dust. It is time to dust off your foam stamps and use them with paint or ink. And don't forget to add something blue to your project. Stop by and post your project in our gallery, we'd love to see what you created.

Everything Old is New Again

Last week's do-it digi challenge we were using elements that we recently purchased (maybe from all of the Digital Scrapbooking Day sales).

This week I want you to look at your digi scrapping papers and elements to find something old to use! Be sure to post your creation in the gallery at The Shaker Box so we can leave you some love!

I started digi scrapping back in the fall of 2005. I have deleted a lot of stuff since then, but I know I still have a couple of the very first kits that I bought. This week I'm going to "dust them off" and put them to use!

Think you have to use the latest and greatest releases to get published? Think again! As I was thinking about those older kits, it dawned on me that the layout that I had published this year came mostly from those original kits!

I'm going to make a list of Yummy Thanksgiving foods and your going to have to decide on ONLY 5 things to put on your 'Plate'. If your still hungry then you'll have to choose a 2nd Plate! I might have to have to plates myself because this food is all so dang good. So you'll have until Monday November 12th to make your choices. You will have till the end of November to do you Layouts and link them back here! There are 3 categories make sure you choose at least one Appetizer, 3 from the Main Course and one dessert.

Inspire Me...Get Wired!! Challenge

I know alot of us scrappers have things in our stash that we just "had to have" but they haven't seen the sun in years! For me, one of those items is wire! I have the cutest little box of colored wire that resides way in the back of a drawer! I got it out, and used it! Now it's your turn!! Welcome to Wednesday and the Do-it Digi Challenge at The Shaker Box!

Fun and Fabulous Challenges!

This Friday's Limited Supplies challenge is to use stripe pattern paper, word/phrase sticker and leaves. There are lots of fun possiblities here for using up your stash, make a title out of word stickers or doodle your leaves. Post your creations in our gallery for all to admire.

Alli has also started a month long Alphabet challenge. Use your creations to fill up the alphabet but you can only use one letter per creation. I'm looking forward to trying to get all my letters filled up.

Get framed!! Inspire Me Challenge!

This week I was inspired by an article in an UK scrapbook magazine (it's called Scrapbook Magazine!) to use frames in layouts. Not just any old frame, but fresh and fun frames! I chose to do my framing with ribbon and another with chipboard shapes! The challenge is to come up with something unique to frame your photos in your layout! Visit the Inspiration Forum, there are lots of fun Can't wait to see what you come up with. When you are done, make sure to link your work back to the Members Gallery so that we can all oooooh and aaaaah over it!! (and of course, get inspiration from YOU!)
